If you’re a creator on OnlyFans you have to see the changes to their terms of service. Lucky for you I read it all so you don’t have to 😁. Here’s what’s changing pay attention or you’ll lose your account and money!

1. Copyright Copyright Copyright! – they have the right to reuse YOUR content! They can prescreen it, monitor it, and reuse it. Now think about that, you work on a BANGER you know it and they know it. You upload your video next thing you know, it’s been flagged for “violation of TOS” and BTW they won’t tell you what you’re violating. Then THEY could hypothetically upload your video in their own low key account (one of those thief accounts that somehow always has other people’s content but never gets taken down???) and collect subs that should have come to YOUR account. I’m not saying they WILL do that but they CAN do that and this is HUGE!
   • Side note, by making an account you are granting them a license to all of your content and they have the right to create derivative works (think compilations, cut-up edits, etc.) for ANY purpose. BTW this license is forever and they can transfer it to anyone else they want 🤯.
2. They’re running your videos through AI! – your content is being run through AI systems to make sure it doesn’t violate their terms. Seems innocent enough right? Nope! Whatever this AI is, it’s probably not their own system, they’re using a third party. That other company can take your video content and do whatever they want with it. Look at Youtube creators. Their videos were used without permission to build a dataset that was then sold to Apple, Google, and other AI companies. Also remember how they have the right to make derivative works from your content? (look at point 2), does that mean they can take your videos run it through an AI and make a new video? Seems that way. You might see an AI version of your own videos somewhere out there!
3. Tag ads and AI videos – this one is not as evil as the other ones but remember if you don’t do these things, you’re in violation of the terms and they can forfeit your earnings (see next bullet point). So you need to tag 2 types of videos 1) Ads and 2) AI generated content (but remember if they make an AI of your video, they don’t need to tell you or tag you in it. Funny how that works!) say you’re working with an adult toy brand they’re paying you to make a video and you tell your viewers how great the toy is. If you don’t tag it correct, it’s a violation that can get your account shut down. Same with AI generated videos, you have to tag the video as AI.
4. Forfeiture of earnings – this one’s rough. If there are repeated violations of the TOS (say you forgot to tag 3 videos that had an ad or were AI generated from BEFORE the rules said you have to tag these videos) that’s a repeated violation of TOS and aside from deleting your account and whatnot, they can also forfeit your earnings. Not pause distributions, not wait a little while and we’ll give you your money, no! your money is forfeit, it’s gone, not yours anymore.
   • Side note, if they ding you for any of this stuff or anything else in their TOS, you have 6 months to dispute it. After 6 months, nothing you can do about it so don’t sleep on anything. Make sure you dispute them ASAP.
5. Taxes – I know they suck but we gotta talk about it. If you’re working through your taxes and maybe you’ve fallen behind a little on those returns, well if they find out about it, they can close your account, restrict payouts, and restrict earnings. How dumb is that? If I owe taxes, I’m not allowed to earn money to pay them 🤔.
6. Criminal? – If you’re convicted of a serious crime, you’re not allowed to have an account on OF. Yes, that means creators too! They won’t ask you up front, but they CAN ask you for proof if they suspect! They can instantly close your account, forfeit your earnings (see point 5), and keep all your money in a matter of seconds! That’s messed up.
